• Mixing Chamber: U-shaped trough made of SS304 / SS316 (for pharma/food) or MS with lining (for chemicals).

• Ribbon Agitator:

  • Consists of inner and outer ribbons mounted on a shaft.

  • Outer ribbons push material inwards, inner ribbons push material outwards → creating a counter-flow mixing action.

• Shaft: Supported by heavy-duty bearings with stuffing box or mechanical seal to avoid leakage.

• Drive System:

  • Geared motor + reduction gearbox + chain coupling.

  • Options: VFD drive for speed control.

• Discharge: Bottom discharge through butterfly valve / slide gate / flush valve.

A Ribbon Blender is a horizontal U-shaped mixing chamber fitted with a double helical ribbon agitator that rotates to move material both radially and axially, ensuring uniform mixing.
